- Take off your glasses if you are wearing them.
- Stand in the center of the screen area of your mobile phone or computer.
- Place and adjust a card under your nose.
- Look directly into the camera and take the photo.
Observations:
- Make sure the card is touching your face, with the band facing out.
- Adjust the image with the help of another person if necessary.
Measuring pupillary distance with a predefined ruler
- Use a ruler or print the ruler below.
- Check that the scale is in millimeters.
- Place the ruler on your nose.
- Read the distance and write it down.
Observations:
- Check with another ruler that the distance between the numbers is actually 5 mm (there are printers that may not respect the scale).
- Use a slightly thick paper to make the ruler more stable.
- If you decide to do it alone, stand in front of a mirror and note the distance between your eyes.
