The 1395 is inspired by pioneering fashion designer Thea Porter, the queen of bohemian fashion in the 1970s, whose atelier was on Greek St., Soho, London. Porter dressed musical icons of the era, including Jimmi Hendrix, the Beatles, Mick Jagger, and Diana Ross. She was responsible for introducing that bohemian fashion staple, the caftan, to the West. Porter blended traditional Middle Eastern fabrics and clothing with her bright, vibrant textures, which injected life and color into the gray concrete backdrop of 1970s London. Oversized with extravagance. In muted, tonal colors, the 1395 reflects the principles of bohemian fashion. A large circle with a low bridge draws the observer in like the plunging neckline of a caftan. Tall hinges complete the vintage look with comfortable interior milling and a rounded bevel that provides a smooth exterior finish.
